The adventure begins when we meet you at Liberia International Airport in northwest Guanacaste. Our representative will be waiting for your arrival then provide a private transfer to Arenal Springs Resort and Spa near Arenal Volcano. The Arenal region, also known as the Adventure and Hot Springs Capital of Central America, is one of the most sought-after places found in Costa Rica. Arenal Springs Resort offers onsite hot springs and incredible volcano views, making it an ideal base for your daily adventures. You’ll be staying in the Junior Suite with spacious room, bath, and patio facing the volcano. The next morning, after waking up in paradise, you’ll have your choice of either going for a guided rainforest nature hike at Arenal Hanging Bridges OR for a thrilling ride through the giant trees on the Canopy Zipline Adventure. Be sure to indulge in the resort’s soothing hot springs after you return from your adventure! On the third day, you’ll have another choice of either going on a guided Riverboat Safari nature cruise within the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge OR taking a Whitewater Rafting Adventure down the Rio Balsa.

After a few days at Arenal, you’ll head over to Playa Flamingo in Guanacaste for a tropical escape at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville Beach Resort. You’re sure to enjoy the resort’s all-inclusive activities, many amenities, and direct access to one of the prettiest beaches in Costa Rica. You’ll be staying in the Garden Pool Side room, spacious with tropical accents. Playa Flamingo is a designated Blue Flag beach, internationally recognized for its cleanliness, safety, and sustainable tourism efforts. The next two days are unscheduled for you to unwind and fully embrace the warm sand, coconut palms and resort’s awesome vibe.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica and on to Arenal Volcano!

Our representative will be waiting for you at Liberia International Airport and then provide a private transfer that takes you to Arenal Springs Resort and Spa at the famous Arenal Volcano.

Day 2: Your Choice: Canopy Hanging Bridges OR Zipline (B)

You can choose either to go on a guided nature hike at the Arenal Hanging Bridges OR for a high-speed Canopy Zipline adventure. Be sure to slip into the resort’s relaxing hot springs afterwards!

Day 3: Your Choice: Rio Balsa Whitewater Rafting OR Riverboat Safari (B, L)

You can once again choose either a nature OR adventure tour. The Riverboat Safari takes you on a guided cruise through the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. The Rio Balsa Whitewater Rafting tour provides a thrilling adventure over Class II and III rapids.

Day 4: Transfer to Flamingo Beach (B, D)

Transportation will be provided to Playa Flamingo in Guanacaste, where you will stay at the Margaritaville Beach Resort, with an all-inclusive plan.

These days are unscheduled, so you can have time on your own to enjoy the beach life at beautiful Playa Flamingo and take advantage of the resort’s many exciting onsite activities.

Affordable Value Category (not displayed above): For supreme value, we substitute Magic Mountain Hotel & Spa in place of Arenal Springs Resort in the Affordable Value category for a new total of $994 per person, in the month of October 2023. Note that hot springs are not included in this version, though can be added for an additional price. In order to offer the lowest prices possible, we work with a combination of contract and dynamic rates. These rates fluctuate daily, based on the season and hotel availability.
