When you arrive at Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, we will be waiting to provide a private transfer to the San Lorenzo Cloud Forest, outside of San Ramon. You’ll stay at the elegant Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel encircled by rolling hills of farmland and forest. Here you can relax, unwind, and enjoy the hotel’s grounds and trails ensconced in a misty cloud forest. No activities are planned to give you a chance to drink in the amazing beauty of Costa Rica before beginning a journey of amazing adventures together. You might also like to indulge in one of the hotel’s rejuvenating Spa services.

On the third day, we’ll provide a private transfer to Arenal Kioro Suites and Spa, located directly in front of the magnificent Arenal Volcano. The views are spectacular and the hotel offers onsite hot springs for guests! The Arenal area, known for the beauty of its tropical rainforest and natural hot springs, provides some of the finest ecotourism activities in Costa Rica. Over the next couple of days, you’ll have your choice of a Canopy Zipline Adventure OR a Canopy Hanging Bridges Nature tour, and either a Jungle Safari Cruise OR a Whitewater Rafting tour. The Canopy Zipline is a high flying, high-speed rainforest canopy adventure that will have you soaring through the jungle from platform to platform along heavy steel cables assisted by professional guides. The guided Hanging Bridges Nature tour takes you along trails leading from the forest floor and up over the tree canopy along suspended bridges so you can explore the rainforest from bottom to top. Common sightings include monkeys, sloths, toucans, poison dart frogs, agoutis, and coatis, plus a rich assortment of air plants including many species of orchids. The next day, you’ll choose either the Riverboat Safari nature tour searching for wildlife while cruising through the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge OR going on a Whitewater Rafting adventure. Cano Negro is one of the best places in Costa Rica to see tropical wildlife including caimans, iguanas, sloths, and monkeys, plus many species of birds including the rosette spoonbill. The Whitewater Rafting tour delivers a thrilling ride over Class II and III rapids down the beautiful Rio Balsa. After each day’s adventure, you can always return to the hotel and relax and bathe in the hot springs – Pura Vida!

Next, we’ll provide a private transfer from the Arenal area over to the Pacific coastal town of Manuel Antonio, home to gorgeous beaches and the most popular national park in Costa Rica. You’ll stay at Issimo Suites, located in the hillside resort area surrounded by jungle and overlooking the beautiful central Pacific coast. Day seven is free of planned activities so you can explore the beautiful beaches or national park on your own or just relax at your adults-only hotel. The next day, you’ll be going on a comfortable Catamaran Cruise along the scenic Pacific coastline, where you will be able to swim and snorkel. Your last full day is also free of planned activities for you to enjoy the romantic experience of being alone together in a tropical paradise.

On Day 10, we’ll provide you with a private transfer back to the airport for your flight home. Be sure to pack all your Costa Rica memories to take with you so you can continue to celebrate your special time spent here together.

Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica and on to the San Lorenzo Cloud Forest

When you arrive at the Juan Santamaria International Airport in San Jose, we will be waiting to take you to your first hotel, Villa Blanca Cloud Forest Hotel, near San Ramon.

Day 2: Free Day to Explore Villa Blanca (B)

Enjoy a relaxing day exploring one of Costa Rica’s most romantic cloud forest hotels nestled in the countryside.

Day 3: San Lorenzo Cloud Forest to Arenal Volcano (B)

A private transfer will be provided to take you to the Arenal Volcano area, where you will stay at the Arenal Kioro Suites and Spa. Enjoy the onsite hot springs and volcano view!

Day 4: Choice: Canopy Hanging Bridges or Zipline (B)

Today you will choose between a guided rainforest hike from forest floor to suspended treetop walkways at the Arenal Hanging Bridges OR going ziplining from platforms in the forest canopy along steel cables on the Canopy Zipline Adventure.

Day 5: Choice: Riverboat Safari OR Whitewater Rafting (B, L)

You’ll once again be choosing whether you want to take a nature OR adventure tour. The nature tour provides a guided Riverboat Safari cruise through the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge. The adventure tour sends you Whitewater Rafting over thrilling Class II and III rapids down the Rio Balsa.

We’ll provide a private transfer to Manuel Antonio Beach where you’ll stay at the Issimo Suites Boutique Hotel, Spa and Waterfront Reserve for adults only. Enjoy the private Jacuzzi in your room!
