The adventure begins upon your arrival in Costa Rica. Our representative will meet you at the airport and then provide a private transfer to Arenal Volcano. The drive will take you through beautiful countryside, which just gets better and better the closer you get. In addition to the majestic volcano, the Arenal area with its multitude of hot springs and jungle activities has become known as the adventure capital of Central America. Arenal Manoa Hotel and Spa, offering volcano views with both cold and hot springs fed swimming pools, will be your home base for the next three nights. It is one of the most popular hotels in the region. Over the next couple of days, you’ll go on thrilling adventures including whitewater rafting on the Class III and IV Rio Sarapiqui and an awesome canyoning tour rappelling waterfalls deep in the jungle. At the end of your day, be sure to lie back and relax in the hotel’s soothing hot springs pools!

On the fourth morning, you’ll pack up to visit your second amazing vacation destination. A transfer will be provided to Lake Arenal at the foot of the volcano where you’ll board a boat to travel across the scenic lake before meeting a van on the other side that will take you by land to Monteverde. High up on the Continental Divide, this magical cloud forested area will be your playground for the next few days. You’ll stay in the tiny picturesque town of Santa Elena for three nights at the Poco a Poco Hotel, offering a coveted heated swimming pool. At Monteverde, you’ll experience epic cloud forest adventures including a high-speed backcountry ATV ride and the high-flying Canopy Zipline tour, both with spectacular views.

Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica and on to Arenal Volcano!

We will meet you at either of Costa Rica’s international airports (Liberia or San Jose) and then provide a private transfer to Arenal Volcano. You’ll stay at the Arenal Manoa Hotel and Spa which offers guests both cold and hot springs fed swimming pools.

Day 2: Whitewater Rafting Rio Sarapiqui (B, L)

The beautiful Rio Sarapiqui with its awesome Class lll and lV river rapids will provide the setting for a thrilling whitewater rafting experience. After your adventure, be sure to relax back at the hotel’s hot springs pools!

Day 3: Canyoning Pure Trek Ultimate Adventure Rappel (B, L)

Canyoning and waterfall rappelling may turn out to be your ultimate adventure tour in Costa Rica! You’ll scramble through a tropical rainforest canyon and rappel down waterfalls along a canyon wall. Then you may want to enjoy one of your hotel’s swim up bars!

Day 4: Land-Boat-Land Transfer to Monteverde (B)

A transfer will be provided to Lake Arenal where you’ll cross the scenic lake by boat. On the other side, another transfer will take you the rest of the way by land up to Monteverde, where you’ll stay at Hotel Poco a Poco in the picturesque village of Santa Elena.

Day 5: ATV Offroad Adventure (B)

Get your motor movin! You’ll be going on a high-speed offroad ATV adventure through the backroads and expansive countryside of Monteverde. Afterward, be sure to check out the beautiful town of Santa Elena.
