The adventure begins when you arrive at San Jose Airport. Our representative will be waiting to greet you and provide a private transfer through the rolling green mountains and spectacular countryside to the town of La Fortuna at Arenal Volcano. Arenal is the adventure and hot springs capital of Central America and one of the most beautiful rainforest regions in Costa Rica. Arenal Springs Resort and Spa will be your base for adventure, offering onsite hot springs with incredible volcano views! You’ll be able to choose either a thrilling Canopy Zipline Adventure OR a stroll over the Canopy Hanging Bridges tour on your second day. On your third day, you can choose either a Riverboat Safari tour cruising the Cano Negro Wildlife Refuge OR an awesome Whitewater Rafting Adventure shooting the Class II and III rapids down Rio Balsa.
After a few action-packed days in the Arenal area, you’re off to Manuel Antonio Beach to stay at the La Vela Boutique Hotel. This quiet boutique hotel, surrounded by jungle and lush tropical gardens, provides the ideal place for exploring the famous beaches of Manuel Antonio. Day 1: Welcome to Costa Rica and on to Arenal Volcano!
Our friendly representative will meet you at the San Jose International Airport to provide a private transfer to Arenal Volcano, where you’ll stay at the Arenal Springs Resort and Spa. You are sure to love this popular eco-resort offering hot springs and incredible volcano views

Day 2: Choice: Canopy Hanging Bridges or Zipline (B)
Pick your choice of canopy activities; either a high-flying Canopy Zipline Adventure Tour OR a slower paced, Canopy Hanging Bridges Nature Tour. The fast-paced Zipline Adventure is an awesome way to “fly” through the treetops from platform to platform via wheel, harness, and cables! The Hanging Bridges Tour leads you on a comfortable hike through the jungle with intermittent bridges across the treetops, allowing you to observe the many birds and animals that inhabit the rainforest canopy. Be sure to enjoy relaxing in the hot springs back at the resort in the afternoon.

Day 3: Choice: Riverboat Safari or Rio Balsa Rafting (B, L)
You’ll once again have your choice of either a nature or adventure tour. The Cano Negro Riverboat Safari provides a scenic tour to observe exotic wildlife and meet the locals living near the Nicaragua border. The Whitewater Rafting Tour will have you riding over thrilling Class II and III rapids as you venture down the beautiful Rio Balsa.

Day 4: Arenal Volcano to Manuel Antonio Beach (B)
Today a shared transfer will be provided taking you again through scenic mountains and jungle over to the Central Pacific coast, and down to Manuel Antonio Beach, where you’ll enjoy a relaxing stay at La Vela Boutique Hotel.

Days 5 & 6: Beach Days at Manuel Antonio (B)
The next couple of days give you some “ME TIME” exploring the beautiful beaches at Manuel Antonio on your own. Enjoy swimming, boogie-boarding, or surfing on the main beach, Playa Espadilla, or go for a swim and snorkel at the more tranquil Playa Biesanz. You won’t want to miss a visit to Costa Rica’s most famous national park to see the abundant wildlife, or just take a stroll through the village to do some souvenir shopping. La Vela is in the ideal location to take advantage of all of this and more!

Day 7: Back to the airport (B)

In order to offer the lowest prices possible, we work with a combination of contract and dynamic rates. These rates fluctuate daily, based on the season and hotel availability.
Affordable Value Category (not displayed above): For supreme value, we substitute Magic Mountain Hotel & Spa in place of Arenal Springs Resort in the affordable value category and keep La Vela Boutique Hotel for a new total of $714 per person, in the month of September 2023. Note that hot springs are not included in this version, though can be added for an additional price. In order to offer the lowest prices possible, we work with a combination of contract and dynamic rates. These rates fluctuate daily, based on the season and hotel availability.
