Typically, calm and clear conditions prevail for snorkelers to swim with schools of fish and experience the vibrancy of a wide variety of sea creatures easily found living in the rocks and reefs close to shore. In addition to the many brightly colored tropical fish, huge sea turtles or rays may be swimming in the area, and if you’re traveling by boat, you’ll almost always see a dolphin or two.
