Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve - Quality

Our guide was super. We were able to see the quetzal and a viper plus learn so much about the cloud forest. Very interesting place. And the hummingbirds at the end were spectacular. Our driver was very nice.

Excellent, knowledgeable guide and great photographer. See saw beautiful birds. This tour exceeded my expectations. Negatives: our driver did not arrive when scheduled and we were waiting for him for a long time. It was very early in the morning. Mike had to call to get it sorted out.

We loved the guide! He was amazing and so nice. We saw more than we thought was possible and got great photos. We opted to stay and get our own ride home because we wanted to see more of the park. Well worth it!

Loved the Cloud Forest. We were a little disappointed not to see much wildlife but learned immensely about plants/the ecosystem/rainforest survival from our extremely knowledgeable guide Marvin.

Truly magical experience being in the cloud forest, listening to the beautiful bird colors and sounds, seeing the clouds roll through between trees - the experience was nothing short of magical. The guide did such a great job of providing intellectual information and doing his best to find animals for us, including a sloth. It was really nice to have a guide who was so passionate about the things he was talking about.

First class guide who went above and beyond to make this an exceptional experience. Without the knowledge and experience of our guide, a trip to the cloud forest would have been just a walk in the forest. But our guide showed us many different types of wildlife and explained the roles of the various plants in great detail. It was a great day.

Lots to see on the tour and the guides do a great job of finding unique things to show you. Well worth the price to get the guide i could not imagine doing this on my own. The cafe by the humming birds is very good for a snack too.

This tour was an advanced walking tour and was a challenging pace and terraine. The terraine was so challenging that we felt we looked at our feet the whole time and rarely had time to enjoy the surroundings. Not much to see at all, very long. It was too similar to the Hanging bridges tour.

We weren't sure if our guide was not good or if it was simply a bad animal viewing day. Many people we know saw lots of amazing animals in Monteverde, but we saw little. My teenage sons commented that we could have skipped Monteverde altogether. We ended up paying extra for a night tour and had a lot more fun on that tour that the day tour into Monteverde.

This was the least crowded of the wildlife tours. This made the experience much more enjoyable. Again, we saw lots of wildlife and the guide was very good.

AMAZING TOUR. one of our favorites. our tour guide was oscar castillo of nasua tours. he was amazing. i would go back just to spend a whole day with him. i understand you guys use a subcontractor or some such, but you should go direct to him, especially if you have clients interested in ecology and birding

didn't see any of the ''cloud'' - was disappointed with that - saw very little wildlife in the reserve - waterfall was beautiful and guide was very friendly and knowledgeable but had higher expectations of this tour

Christian was another awesome guide! Again, we saw so much more than big groups were seeing. I love the personalized approach. Christian even told us about a great place the locals eat...Raulitos Chicken in Santa Elena. It was delicious as was Morpho in Santa Elena which he recommended.

Great tour....our guide even emailed some pictures that he had taken. We stopped at the Cheese Factory and I enjoyed the best fig ice cream on earth. Thank you so much
