The hotel is nice, there was a few details like the shower not working and the toilet not flushing but otherwise it was good.

The staff were very accommodating. The location was just right for us, close but not too close to the action of Tamarindo and the beach. I liked the small size of the facility, and yet it felt spacious.

I liked the hotel, and would stay here again. Staff were sometimes hard to find. Breakfast options were good.

Very cute place, close to town and beach! Nice pool (need some new chairs around it). Everyone was friendly

Hotel Luna Llena is so cute and comfortable! Pino is quite kind as well as the rest of the staff were also amazing.

After all the rest of the hotels was stayed in this one didn't compare very well. The beds were hard as a rock and there were ants crawling all over the place. This place needs some upgrading. The breakfast was good but not nearly as good compared to the rest of the places we stayed (only 3 choices and no fresh fruit and portions were a little small). The positives were that the staff was very friendly and it was an easy walk to the beach.

Toiletries supplies were not stocked during our stay. They did not offer lactose free milk - so there was not much choice for breakfast. Owner is very friendly - she has a nice word for each customer every time she meets them

AWESOME!!!! Our bungalow was very nice - again separate sleeping areas. Having iguana's and monkey's and bird's and squirrel's in the trees on the grounds was great. Also, the short direct walk to the beach was great.

At Breakfast there were no fresh friuts and it was a little too less in total.

Coming from the previous two accommodations we were feeling a little spoiled. While this hotel was value for money, we were expecting a little more in terms of comfort and space in the room. Not anyone's fault really and it all worked out. The staff was very good.

The hotel was great and only two blocks from the beach. Simon the owner was very nice and kind and very accommodating to make sure I had a fridge in the room for my medicine. We really enjoyed walking into town every day and night and enjoyed the people. The beach was very relaxing and very nice . We enjoyed watching the sun set every night and they were always beautiful. It was just nice to walk down the beach and enjoy the weather with my wife .we found a couple of good gluten free restaurants to eat at and the food was amazing. We ate at Walters Fish and Cheese and his food was excellent and Simone the owner of Hotel Luna Llena told us about him. We really enjoyed our stay there and hated to leave to come back home .

The bed mattress could definitely be replaced. Breakfast was great.Owners were helpful in suggesting sites to visit, restaurants etc.

Really liked this place. Clean, comfortable and the room was very nice. Close enough to the beach and town, I wouldn't have changed anything. The pancakes were incredible!

Great Hotel Staff. Very helpful and informative.

This hotel was our favorite of trip great location and the owners are wonderful want to bring family to stay again

Cannot say enough nice things about Luna Llena. The owners treat the guests like family. You are close to the beach without the noise and intensity of being right on the beach; but everything is close. Clean, warm and friendly. Small enough that you get to know the staff.

The hotel had very nice people, the room had many bugs on the walls which I understand is part of the climate but is still not comfortable or clean feeling. All in all it serviced our needs but not recommended for everyone.

The hotel was perfect for what it was! The hospitality was wonderful, the breakfast was truly delicious, the staff so kind, helpful, easy going! The location of the hotel was also superb! We were not on the main strip, which means we were at the more beautiful, quieter part of the beach. The top of the bungalow was a bit hot for the kids, despite the air conditioning, but totally livable, and exactly what we wanted as a family!

lovely quaint rooms and very private.

Very charming, food was great, the staff and owners were great. Too hot for us though. Should have spent more time on the interior of Costa Rica. It was very windy as well.

this was the friendliest hotel met great people would definitely stay there again there food was amazing also and they have the worlds best bar tender Stewart.

Close to the beach was a plus. The only complaint is that the breakfast is kind of small and not very filling.
01/23/2016
The staff and owners were very helpful.

I loved Luna Llena, I would go back again! My only complaint is that the bed was really really hard! I would have preffered a different mattress and pillows.

It was difficult to find a staff member when we needed assistance. They did not have a staff member at the front at any time of day. We arrived around noon on our first day and no one was there. We needed assistance late afternoon on our second day and I walked around the complex until I found anyone to talk to. The room was clean and comfortable, and staff was friendly and helpful when we did find them. We were a bit disappointed that the pool was either dirty or full of children/teens that were not staying at the hotel.

Thank you Mateo for a wonderful stay! I would suggest to future travelers that the upgrade to the bungalow is totally worth it.

I thought this was a pretty good place.

Great for a budget hotel! Not far off the beaten path/main road. And the staff was great- within a few minutes of us inquiring, she had us set up for a semi-private surfing lesson for the next morning, which turned out to be a highlight of the trip. LOVED Tamarindo!
