With stunning mountain top views overlooking the Pacific Ocean, the architecturally stimulating Three Sixty Boutique Hotel features spectacular scenery ranging out to sixty miles in every direction. Located on the highest mountain range meeting the southwestern Pacific shoreline near Ojochal, the hotel’s twelve exquisitely designed eco-friendly villas offer the ultimate in capturing the essence of Costa Rica’s dramatic beauty. Four-wheel drive transport is required for the ride up to the hotel. The modern spacious open lines of the lobby, Kua Kua Restaurant, Bar 360, and breathtaking infinity pool are reflected in the individual stylized villas juxtaposed at varying angles to create a sense of privacy. You’ll find the onsite full service 360 Spa tucked away in its own natural setting. Valet parking, laundry, and concierge services are all available at the hotel. Highly rated by vacationing couples, this unique adult’s only hotel provides an extraordinary experience in a memorable romantic setting making it perfect for popping the question, honeymooners, small weddings, or those looking to surround themselves in natural beauty to celebrate any occasion.
The striking contrast between soaring mountaintops and long expanses of pristine coastline define the rugged southern reaches of Costa Rica’s Puntarenas Province, about three and a half hours drive from the San Jose airport. In this verdant rainforest area, it is possible to explore remote areas whether offshore whale watching, snorkeling, and fishing or onshore hiking to waterfalls and visiting national parks. Hotel staff will gladly tell you about nearby beaches and restaurants.
At Marino Ballena National Park near Uvita, you can walk over an unusual natural land formation seen only at low tide and enjoy a swim. In the exact shape of a whale’s fluke, it is also the annual breeding grounds for humpback whales. As if Mother Nature posted a sign! A short trip by boat will take you over to Corcovado National Park for a serious guided nature hike in what National Geographic magazine has called one of the most biodiverse places on earth. Add to the mix almost universal access to horseback riding.
The owners of Three Sixty Boutique Hotel designated 90% of the property as a nature preserve providing an abundance of wildlife on the grounds surrounding the villas. It is not uncommon to see and hear parrots, toucans, scarlet macaws, monkeys, and iguanas from your private patio. Except for the sound of the waves and wildlife, you’ll experience a quiet sense of peace and tranquility as you look out upon the world from your mountain top retreat.
Be sure to enjoy a dip in the wraparound infinity pool which seems to transport you all the way to the ocean’s horizon. The 360 Bar offers pool service so you can indulge in your favorite tropical cocktail without ever leaving the comfort of your white umbrella. The bar features its own brand of 360 Vodka. A staff of excellent mixologists will make your favorite drinks just the way you like them or introduce you to one of their many signature creations such as a refreshing Watermelon martini. Cheers!
The excellent Kua Kua Restaurant takes its name from the indigenous word for butterflies, which frequent the hotel’s lush gardens. Serving locally sourced fresh ingredients, the reasonably priced menu provides a variety of dishes including Peruvian Asian cuisine. The chefs will be happy to accommodate any special dietary requests and advance notice is recommended. Be sure to try the fresh lemon pie with strawberry coulis! Dinner can be specially prepared by request for service on your private patio. Daily breakfasts are included in your stay.
