Definitely was a budget hotel but was modestly comfortable. I was surprised there was no hot water for showers. The other hotels did have it so I am not sure if it is typical.

Hotel was nice, staff were great, location was good - I had read TripAdvisor reviews saying there was a lot of road noise,but we didn't notice any of that even though we were in a corner room facing 2 streets.

Hotel is older and could use some upgrades. Appeared to be understaffed as maid service was inconsistent. Location is excellent, easy walking to shops and restaurants.

The staff spoke good English but could have been more friendly. The room was small, had a big black mark on the wall the bed was against, we easily cleaned it off ourselves. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast included was great! It was good value for what we paid.

I loved staying here because we got to experience the culture and shops. Everyone we met was very friendly and helpful. The bakery was the best!

Would have liked a fridge. Beds/pillows were not comfortable. Staff and location were the best one could ask for. Mercedes at the front desk went beyond normal expectations and deserves special recognition for her efforts in helping us.

I liked being downtown. The hotel was nice. The only problem was the amount of car and motorcycle noise from cars speeding down the road all hours of the night.

Would love to know the coffee they served it was excellent we did not splurge on the room as we did not spend any time but sleep but it was what we expected the view was great and staff was very nice wouldnstaynthere again

Oh, this hotel was amazing. The friendliest staff EVER!!! When I mentioned my husband's birthday in passing, the guy at the desk was so attentive that, when we returned form our excursion, there was a birthday card from the hotel staff and a birthday present (a Costa Rica baseball hat) waiting for him in our room! The central location of this hotel was also a great plus as we could just walk a block or two each evening to get dinner in town.
